Service portfolio
The set of services an organization offers, understood as the operational expression of its value proposition rather than an administrative list of request types.
The set of services an organization offers, understood as the operational expression of its value proposition rather than an administrative list of request types. It is a strategic decision about what value is delivered, to whom, and with which capabilities.
The difference from a catalogue is one of level, not size. The portfolio declares what value the organization delivers and with which capabilities; the catalogue publishes how each thing is requested. A catalogue with no portfolio behind it grows by accumulation, and nobody can say which service is redundant.
