PinkVERIFY

Pink Elephant's certification scheme verifying that a tool genuinely supports ITSM processes, in functionality and in terminology.
PinkVERIFY is the scheme Pink Elephant, the Canadian IT service management firm, uses to assess software against published functional criteria for each ITSM process. An accredited assessor tests the standard commercial version of the product and confirms whether it supports each process in functionality and in terminology.
Its purpose in a purchase is to replace a vendor claim with third-party evidence. In public or financial procurement, that evidence is demandable and defensible, and much of the functional questionnaire an evaluation team would otherwise have to validate has already been assessed under a scheme the industry recognises. When comparing certifications, the date matters: a current assessment covers the version that will be installed.
