Demonstrable maturity

The principle that maturity assessment rests on evidence extractable from the platform rather than on declarative self-assessment.

Basing it on extractable evidence rather than self-assessment changes the result. Maturity surveys measure what an organization believes about itself, which tends to sit one or two levels above what the repository can demonstrate.
